How much should i pay for a 2006 Lotus Elise with no options?

by Reed on October 25, 2009

This one was made in Novevember of ‘05 and had been in the showroom for over a year. At some point, does this become a "used" car if it isn’t sold within a certain timeframe? Does time depreciate it’s value if it remains unsold for too long? It also has a few cosmetic blemishes from being at the dealer’s for over a year. Thanks in advance for the help :)

Not considered used unless it was titled. You should expect some sort of discount for the cosmetic flaws and the age, but not as though it was depreciated from being used and driven.

I certainly wouldn’t pay more than their invoice assuming they correct the flaws. I’d check for any fluid leaks and flat spots in tires from not being run.
