Have you driven latest Porshes? Interior, smell, feels are almost identical to MB! Of course Porshe handles, breaks and communicate with driver better than MB. But general feel is still German (like MB). it doesn’t have “exotic” feel. Newer Ferrari and Lambo are becoming more German car like (after all Lambo is owned by Audi). This leaves Lotus as the only ture hard core sports car manufacture left on the Earth.

They are the only German production cars that are a direct competition to Lamborghini and Ferrari. That’s special. Plus they are one of the only car makers who still use a manual with foot clutch on their GT cars. As far as calling them fast MBs….ehhh. No comment.

I don’t know about you, but my Elise without super charger is quick enough for me. I can hang with Nissan GTR in all turns. If you want to go fast on straight, buy a Vett or something with large engine. If you want to enjoy corning and G – force, buy Lotus.

My family owned two boxster (basically Cayman w/o roof), Turbo, and now Carrea S4. We think Porsches are nice car but they are “boring” to look at. I also have Lotus Elise and I get 500% more attentions from people. Porsches are just another good cars. To me they are very fast MB.

I have owned many Lotus including Elise and Esprit (I still have Elise). I love Lotus but if I have $200K for car, I will buy a Gallardo Spider.

Good job! I have 06 Elise with track pack plus over $10,000 worth of after market parts for track use. I still want to buy Exige for my wife but Evora maybe a better car.

I think the ending launch product of this car is a lot more better in terms of shape and look compared to this prototype version.
