I would liek to know more about the Pros and Cons of the original 1991-1995 C4 generation Corvette ZR1, that had the 405HP Engine (Most powerful untiul the Z06) and some details about it.
How many Black Widow packages were made? How good WAS the performance? Did people actually use the 300HP/400HP switch? Is this the one with the first-generation Run Flat Steel Tires, and can these still be bought?
Id liek some info, and surely somebody has some experience with one. And how wide WERE the back tires on this car? Thanks!
BdB: You -must- be 14.
The Corvette ZR1 came out -again,- but im talking about the FIRST one that came out, the one I liked. In 1991. It was discontinued in 1995.
It gave the current ZR1 a nameplate to fill. And it blew it away but the original one is still a car I like more, the new ZR1 almost looks like a Ferrari mixed with a Lamborghini to me…
You know how noticeable performance changes with a 100 lb passenger or not. Saving 3 times that weight by having an aluminum engine…..

What’s better, Elise or SLK280?
PERFORMANCE ONLY…
I don’t know which one to get. Which is more intimidating and chick magnet?
i’m new money. and i dont know alot about cars.
Performance only, I vote Lotus. I have driven both of these cars.
Best choice for you depends on where you live. If there is a lotus dealer in your City or near to you, go for it. If not, you will spend a lot of money transporting it to the dealership. the lotus is powered by a Toyota engine (modified) and is a really excellent performer. Seriously fun. It is smaller and definitely less comfortable than the Benz. The Mercedes is an excellent relationship between performance and comfort and is also big on style. That said, there are not nearly as many Loti (plural of lotus) around. If you are looking for impressing chicks, either one will work. If you are looking for a daily driver, Benz all the way. The Lotus will only go about 150 miles on a tank of gas. It is built for speed and agility, not comfort. No matter what, go with the touring package if you get the Lotus. It includes non racing items like sound insulation. That should tell you what you are dealing with when sound insulation is an option. Good luck. I am jealous as hell. I loved driving both and for different reasons.

I want to purchase a Lotus Exige S 240 and I know I can get a used one for about 40,000$ and a new one for about 70,000$ and in my viewing I think Im getting a high performance euro exotic for no where near the competing companies, please give me pros and cons and any personal experience.
Pros:
Exotic
Agile
Head-Turner
Great Resale Value
Fun To Drive
Cons:
EXTREMELY Uncomfortable
Unreliable
Overpriced
Unsafe
Insurance is Probably Ridiculous
Bottom Line: I would consider something else. This would be a great weekend car, but for daily driving, this car is horrible. Forget driving over speed-bumps without leaving a mark on the car. Forget about a smooth, quite, and relaxed ride. Remember, there is a reason this car is so rare to see.
If you want to look used for a $40,000 Budget, I would consider a used Qvale Mangusta. Thought it may not be as cool looking as a Lotus, it is pure Italian. It is extremely agile and well built. They are very, very rare and I was only able to find two for sale in the US, one with decals all over it and one in black:
